Noreen's Project's

One of Noreen's major strengths is self-belief. Noreen believes working through trials and errors and learning from each set back is fundamental for overall success of a business. Since embarking on the journey of "Jewellery by Mirza" Noreen has gathered a wealth of knowledge and vital business skills. She is now instilling her hard-working ethic, determination, and business skills to young people through a mentoring scheme.

Mosaic:
Noreen is a mentor for Mosaic, an initiative run by the Prince's Trust to break down barriers across British society. One if its key functions is to encourage linkages between successful professionals and disadvantaged young Muslims, in order to raise aspirations and increase access to opportunities for education and employment.

Noreen's mentoring activities:

- Delivering motivational speeches to pupils

- Volunteering in schools and Community groups to expand perspectives and prospects

- Mentoring selected pupils through one-to-ones, group mentoring & e-mentoring

What Noreen says:

"I recently took part in five week project at a girl's school in Tower Hamlets. I worked with a set of girls to set up a business from scratch. I was amazed to see the girls take to the task so naturally. There is a wealth of natural talent which just needs to be nurtured. I feel pleased to be responsible for helping them unlock their potential."

"I could not have got to where I am today without the few words of wisdom showered upon me from business contacts who I now consider to be my true friends. It is sometimes all about building the right networks. I was fortunate to have them. But it's a harsh reality that there are many young aspiring individuals who cannot break free from the glass ceiling because they are not steered in the right direction. I am so pleased to be part of Mosaic, an initiative which connects those with relevant names."
